Early Access
Boundary Lab is an open source acoustic simulation application designed to make advanced numerical modeling accessible to loudspeaker designers, researchers, and engineers. It combines Boundary Element Method (BEM), Finite Element Method (FEM), and Lumped Element Method (LEM) simulations to predict the acoustic and electroacoustic behavior of complex loudspeaker systems.
Minimum System Requirements
Operating System: Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or macOS 11 or newer
Processor: 64-bit Intel or AMD CPU or Apple M1 or newer
Memory: 8 GB RAM minimum; 16 GB recommended
GPU-Accelerated Solving: NVIDIA Maxwell architecture or newer, with at least 2 GB of VRAM
Storage: 4GB of free storage
Drivers: Up-to-date NVIDIA graphics drivers required for CUDA acceleration
Additional Notes: CPU-based simulation is supported without an NVIDIA GPU. Simulation performance and memory requirements depend on mesh complexity, frequency range, and solver configuration. Larger models may require significantly more system RAM and GPU memory. AMD ROCm is currently not supported in this standalone Boundary Lab installer.
This purchase provides the official signed release of Boundary Lab for Windows & macOS, packaged for convenient installation without the need to manually compile the application or configure its software dependencies.
Your purchase directly supports JW Sound's continued development, maintenance, and improvement of Boundary Lab, BEAT Engine, and the broader ecosystem of open source acoustic simulation tools.
The complete source code is publicly available on GitHub, where users are welcome to download, build, modify, and contribute to the project at no cost.
Upon purchase, you will be emailed a download link to the application installer.

Boundary Lab Deploy is an open source desktop application for designing and simulating loudspeaker deployments. Powered by the Boundary Lab acoustic simulation engine, it enables users to arrange loudspeakers in a 3D environment, visualize sound pressure coverage, and investigate acoustic interactions between cabinets and their surroundings.
Unlike conventional prediction tools that rely solely on polar data and pattern superposition, Boundary Lab Deploy offers advanced physics-aware coupled FEM/BEM/LEM simulations to account for cabinet scattering, mutual acoustic coupling, and changes in transducer behavior resulting from array configurations and boundary interactions.
Explore coverage, electrical impedance, driver excursion, acoustic loading, and more to gain a deeper understanding of how loudspeaker systems behave in real-world deployments.
